To celebrate the return of the Keelboat National Championship to the Royal Akarana Yacht Club, the club has agreed to sponsor the entry fee for a Youth Team to participate. Sailors need to be between 16 years and under 21 years old on April 11 and have been RAYC Members for at least 6 months.
Current Women’s National Keelboat Champions Sally Garrett and Jenny Price, plus Race & Performance Manager Maria Ferrario, will support the team by training with them before the event. The event will be run on the prestigious One Design MRX keelboats. The fleet will consist of national and international champions, Olympic sailors and coaches, world-class race sailors plus some upcoming top youth sailors.
