12ft Skiff
New Zealand has a proud history in the 12ft Skiff class, a high-performance skiff that has tested and showcased some of the best young talent on both sides of the Tasman for decades. The fierce trans-Tasman rivalry with Australia, Interdominion Championships, has become the highlight of the season. the NZL 12ft Skiff fleet is looking to grow, and they’re calling on young, experienced skiff sailors who are keen for a new challenge outside the Olympic 49er pathway (ideally with 29er, 49er, or Cherub experience).

18ft Skiff
We have a strong and competitive fleet of 18ft skiffs here at RAYC. These are high-performance, three-person racing machines. The highlight of the season is without a doubt the JJ Giltinan Championship—commonly known as the “JJs.” This event is the pinnacle of 18ft skiff sailing, drawing the best teams from around the world to compete at the highest level.
