To celebrateย the return of the Keelboat National Championship to the Royal Akarana Yacht Club, the club has agreed to sponsor the entry fee for a Youth Team to participate. Sailors need to be betweenย 16 years and under 21 years old on April 11ย and have been RAYC Members for at least 6 months.ย
Current Women’s National Keelboat Champions Sally Garrett and Jenny Price, plus Race & Performance Manager Maria Ferrario, will support the team by training with them beforeย the event. The event will be run on the prestigious One Design MRX keelboats. The fleet will consist of national and international champions, Olympicย sailors and coaches, world-class race sailors plus some upcoming top youth sailors.ย
