The old plans

Just at the time when we are preparing to demolish the present building and erect a new one, a gift has been given to the Archives in the form of the plans for the present Clubhouse.

Below are two images from those plans.

The designer was Ken Mildon (Commodore 1965-66) and his widow Barbara gave the plans to us recently.

The turning of the first sod of the present Clubhouse was in October 1952.

When that auspicious occasion arises for the new Clubhouse anyone who was present on the first occasion (or their relatives) will be invited.

This will hopefully be this year, but if you can help by letting us know of anyone who should be there please contact Marian Harkness on (09) 524-4968 or calimex@clear.net.nz.
