Royal Akarana Yacht Club has five boats racing in the Shorthanded Sailing Association of New Zealand’s Round North Island Race which kicked off on Saturday afternoon at 1400 hours from Devonport Wharf.
The intense two-handed race takes the fleet of 27 from Auckland, Mangonui then to Wellington, Napier and back to Auckland.
