Flying 15’s win the hottest trophy in Sailing

The infamous Ffemmy trophy is the hottest piece of kit a sailor can race for.  And this year it was won by the Flying 15 fleet led by Vice Commodore Sally Garrett and Neil Easton.

The Ffemmy is raced at the start of each sailing season – the “teams event” is between the Flying 15’s and the M-Class fleets, who race for season domination – aka, the right to start first on each race day!

Last season Ffemmy was help by the M-Class Fleet (Jon Andrew / Matara), and she had many interesting visits to places around the country.  She was however lost, but thanks to her unique features, was easily identified and returned.

This season Sally and Neil will be responsible for her safety – the rules are that she is to be proudly displayed at her caregivers place of work – she is now sitting proudly on Neil’s desk (along with lots of other toys…!)
