Akarana Sailing Academy results at Junior Sail Auckland

The Akarana Sailing Academy had 23 young sailors registered to race at the Kohimarama Yacht Club hosted “Junior Sail Auckland” regatta on the 8-9th February, our biggest turn out of sailors to a single regatta since the academy was established in 2001.

Before rolling into the results, RAYC and the Akarana Sailing Academy (ASA) would like to thank Kohimarana Yacht Club and all their volunteers on hosting such a fantastic regatta for youth sailors. A lot of work goes into hosting a regatta like Junior Sail Auckland and we appreciate the opportunities that a regatta like this provides.

Thanks also to the clubs who provided additional volunteers and chase boats.

For RAYC, there was success and podium finishes, with Logan Ross (starling development), Simon Cooke & Ashton Cooke (feva), and Charlie Morton (radial) each getting the gold medal in their class. Blake Hinsley & Oskar Masfen (feva) and Nathan Wiseman (radial)  also had podium finishes finishing third in their divisions.
