The notation ‘[DP]’ in a rule in the NoR means that the penalty for a breach of that rule may, at the discretion of the protest committee, be less than disqualification.
1.1 The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing.
1.2 The Yachting New Zealand Safety Regulations Part 1 shall apply.
1.3 The sailing instructions will consist of the instructions in RRS Appendix S, Standard Sailing Instructions, and supplementary sailing instructions that will be on the official notice board located at Auckland Sailing Club and on the regatta microsite.
1.4 RRS Appendix T, Arbitration, will apply.
2. ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY
2.1 The series is open to all classes.
2.2 All entries are to be received via the online entry form on the Winter Series page on the RAYC website rayc.co.nz/winterseries
2.3 By starting a boat acknowledges that an entry fee is payable. If no entry fee is paid before or on the day of racing no results will be published for that boat.
2.4 Skippers are required to be financial members of an affiliated yacht or sailing club.
Series Entry RAYC Member – $70.00 / Series Entry Non-Member – $100.00
Casual Race Entry RAYC Member – $20 / Casual Race Entry Non-Member – $30
RAYC Hardstand Users – $0 but entry must be received
First warning signal for each day of racing is 1200 hours

No warning signal will be made after 1500 hours
5. SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
Sailing Instructions specific to this series will be available one (1) week before the scheduled racing day via www.rayc.co.nz/winterseries
6.1 The host club is Royal Akarana Yacht Club.
6.2 Racing will be conducted in the area between Okahu Bay and Bayswater.
7. THE COURSES
The courses will be a combination of Harbour Courses and Windward/Leeward Courses outlined in the sailing instructions.
8. PENALTY SYSTEM
For all classes rule 44.1 is changed so that the Two-Turns Penalty is replaced by the One-Turn Penalty.
There will be one drop for every five (5) races completed
10. RADIO COMMUNICATION
10.1 Except in an emergency, a boat that is racing shall not make voice or data transmissions and shall not receive voice or data communication that is not available to all boats. [DP] 10.2 The Race Channel will be VHF 27 unless the Race Officer advises otherwise.
Prizes will be awarded dependent on the number of entries received.
12. DISCLAIMER OF ENTRY
Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See RRS 4, Decision to Race. The organising authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta.
13. RIGHTS TO USE NAME & LIKENESS
By participating in the event, a competitor automatically grants to the Organising Authority and the sponsors of the event, the right in perpetuity, to make, use and show, from time to time and at the discretion, any motion pictures, still pictures and live, taped or film television and other reproductions of him/her during the period of the competition for said event in which the competitor participated and in all material related to the said event without compensation.
14. USE OF DRONE FOR MEDIA
All those who take part in the regatta as competitors as well as support crew or spectators agree to be overflown by a drone during the duration of the event, this includes your person and your property (boats).

2.1 The race office is located at 10-12 Tamaki Drive, the Auckland Sailing Club building.
2.2 The flag pole is located on the deck at Auckland Sailing Club.
